These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Dossier Terminal platform, including the website at dossierterminal.ai, the Dossier Terminal application, and all related services (collectively, the "Platform"), operated by Dossier Terminal, Ltd. ("we," "us," or "our").
By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
Dossier Terminal is a market intelligence platform that uses artificial intelligence to help you analyze your portfolio, track investment theses, and reflect on your trading decisions. Our AI analyst, James, provides analysis, context, and pattern recognition based on your portfolio data, market information, and your conversation history.
Dossier Terminal is not a financial advisor. We do not provide investment advice, tax advice, legal advice, or any recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. James is an intelligence tool — not a fiduciary, not a registered investment advisor, and not a substitute for professional financial counsel.
Dossier Terminal is not a broker-dealer. We do not execute trades, hold funds, transfer money, or have custody of any of your assets. We cannot and will not place orders on your behalf. All investment decisions and trade execution are entirely your responsibility.
Dossier Terminal is not infallible. James uses artificial intelligence that can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information. AI-generated analysis may contain errors in data interpretation, mathematical calculation, or logical reasoning. All output should be independently verified before being used as the basis for any investment decision.
You must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to make investment decisions in the accounts you connect to the Platform. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at support@dossierterminal.ai if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
Each account is for a single individual. You may not share your account credentials or allow others to access the Platform through your account.

Portfolio connectivity is provided through Plaid Inc. When you connect a brokerage account:
While we strive to present accurate portfolio data, discrepancies may exist between Plaid-provided data and your brokerage's records. Your brokerage account is the authoritative source for your position and account information.
Dossier Terminal is offered on a monthly subscription basis at the price displayed at the time of signup. Prices may change with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
Payments are processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Billing. Upon cancellation, you retain access through the end of your current billing period. After that, your account data is retained for 90 days, then permanently deleted.
We do not offer refunds for partial months. If you experience a technical issue that materially prevents you from using the Platform for an extended period, contact us to discuss options.
You retain ownership of your theses, journal entries, and any content you create on the Platform. By using the Platform, you grant us a limited license to process this content solely for the purpose of providing the service.
The Platform, including James's capabilities, the dossier generation system, all software, designs, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Dossier Terminal, Ltd. Elements of the Platform's intelligence architecture are the subject of a pending United States patent application.
AI-generated content is provided to you as part of the service. You may use this content for your personal investment research. You may not redistribute, resell, or publicly publish AI-generated content from the Platform at scale.
Investing in securities involves risk, including the potential loss of principal. You acknowledge that:

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dossier Terminal, its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
In no event shall our aggregate liability exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Dossier Terminal and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable laws.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or use the Platform in a manner that could harm other users or the Platform itself. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination, except in cases of fraud or abuse.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will require your re-acceptance within the application before you can continue using the Platform. Non-material changes will be posted with an updated effective date. Continued use after non-material changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved in the courts of the State of Delaware.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
